Performance & Throughput

The router delivers up to 2.5 Gbps of aggregate router throughput, giving wired and wireless connections substantial headroom for concurrent operation. Each of its four embedded cellular modems operates on CAT-12 technology, providing cellular data rates of 600 Mbps downlink and 150 Mbps uplink per modem. SpeedFusion VPN throughput reaches 600 Mbps without encryption and 500 Mbps with 256-bit AES encryption, enabling bonded multi-WAN tunnels that combine bandwidth from multiple cellular providers into a single logical connection. The router supports three PepVPN peers out of the box, expandable to 20 or 50 peers with optional licensing.

Connectivity & Interfaces

WAN connectivity is served by three Gigabit Ethernet ports, with one port configurable as either WAN or LAN and two dedicated GE WAN ports. The LAN side provides nine Gigabit Ethernet interfaces, eight of which deliver 802.3at PoE output to power access points, cameras, or other networked devices without additional injectors. Enabling all eight PoE outputs requires two 54V DC power inputs. Wireless connectivity includes simultaneous dual-band Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac) with 2x2 MIMO on both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands, supporting Wi-Fi WAN and access point modes. Two USB interfaces and one SMA GPS antenna connector round out the physical interface set, while eight SMA cellular antenna connectors and four RP-SMA Wi-Fi antenna connectors provide external antenna connectivity for challenging RF environments.

Cellular & SIM Flexibility

Four embedded cellular modems each feature redundant SIM slots, accommodating up to eight embedded SIM cards for carrier diversity. Supported SIM options include Mini-SIM (2FF), Peplink eSIM, BYO eSIM with two profiles, Remote SIM from the SIM Injector, and FusionSIM. The router is compatible with the optional SIM Injector, which extends total SIM capacity to 16 cards manageable up to 100 meters away, allowing SIM placement in optimal signal locations while the router remains elsewhere. FirstNet support on band 14 and ESN certification are included, and 5G connectivity is available through a swappable cellular module when network upgrades are required. The router covers an extensive range of 4G LTE bands including B1 through B66 and 3G bands for fallback connectivity.

Design & Power

The enclosure is a compact, fanless metal housing measuring 1.7 x 11.5 x 7.0 inches and weighing 7.28 pounds, engineered for industrial and mobile deployments where silent operation and durability are essential. Ignition sensing is provided through a dedicated ignition sense pin, enabling automatic power management in vehicle installations. Power input accepts 12V to 56V DC through both a power port and a terminal block, with maximum power consumption of 55W. The operating temperature range spans -40°C to 65°C with humidity tolerance from 15% to 95% non-condensing, making the router suitable for harsh environmental conditions.

Security, VPN & Load Balancing

SpeedFusion VPN provides site-to-site connectivity with bandwidth bonding, hot failover, and 256-bit AES encryption using pre-shared key authentication and X.509 certificate support. Dynamic routing protocols including BGP, OSPFv2, and RIPv2 are supported alongside VRRP high-availability and IPsec network-to-network VPN. The stateful firewall includes DoS prevention, web blocking, web filtering, and blacklist capabilities. Load balancing algorithms encompass weighted, enforced persistence, priority, overflow, least used, lowest latency, and fastest response time, with per-service load distribution and session persistence for intelligent failover across all connected WAN sources.

Management & Features

Device management is available through a web administrative interface, command line interface, and InControl cloud management, with email notifications, active client and session lists, bandwidth usage statistics, syslog service, and SNMP v1, v2c, and v3 support. An integrated AP controller provides auto AP discovery, firmware management, AP profile configuration, and Wi-Fi usage statistics for compatible access points. Advanced QoS capabilities include user group bandwidth reservation, individual bandwidth limits, and application prioritization for SIP, HTTPS, and VPN traffic. A customizable captive portal supports wired and wireless LAN clients with RADIUS authentication, time and usage quotas, and a built-in splash page. The router is recommended for environments serving 50 to 500 users.

Certifications & Compliance

The router carries FCC, CE, RoHS, RCM, E-Mark, and PTCRB certifications, confirming regulatory compliance across multiple jurisdictions. EN61373 certification validates shock and vibration resistance, while EN50155 certification confirms suitability for railway applications as electronic equipment used on rolling stock. EN61000 certification addresses electromagnetic compatibility. These certifications position the router for deployment in transportation, industrial, and public-safety environments where rigorous standards compliance is required.
