Technical Overview

The transceiver operates at a 1310 nm wavelength at 1.25 Gbps, reaching up to 2 km on 50/125µm fiber (OM3/OM4) and up to 1 km on 62.5/125µm fiber (OM1). Optical transmit power ranges from -3 to -9 dBm, with a minimum receive sensitivity of -22 dBm, giving a power budget of 13 to 19 dB. At 3.3V operating voltage, a maximum input current of 300 mA and an MTBF of 224,167 hours, the module is built for reliable continuous operation. FCC, CE, VCCI, LVD and EN 60825 certifications round out its safety profile.

Compatibility

According to the manufacturer, the DIS-S302SX is intended for all D-Link industrial switches with an SFP or mini-GBIC slot, including the DIS-100G, DIS-101G, DIS-210G, DIS-300G, DIS-310G and DIS-700G series, as well as the DIS-M100G-SW media converter, which lists the same module as an accessory in its datasheet.
