Application and Installation

The splicing box functions as a交接 point between the incoming fiber optic cable and the internal cabling. In the splicing cassette, the fibers of the installation cable are spliced to the factory-installed pigtails. The box is designed for installation in 19-inch network or server cabinets and occupies 1 height unit. Thanks to the retractable design with an extension depth of approx. 22 cm, the connectors and splicing cassette are always easily accessible. The back provides four mounting holes for PG glands, allowing flexible cable entry. The delivery includes two PG13.5 glands as well as the required mounting material (4x cage nuts & screws).

Construction and Fiber Management

The housing is made of powder-coated steel in RAL7035 (light gray) and ensures mechanical stability. The splicing cassettes are made of plastic and accommodate the 12 fibers as well as the pre-installed pigtails ready for splicing. Integrated fiber management ensures orderly routing and protects the fibers from excessive bending. Two crimp splice holders and two splice protection elements are included in the delivery and support a reliable, permanent splicing connection. The pigtails comply with the OS2 single-mode standard with a length of 1.5 m and follow the DIN color code.
