Description

Key Benefits

  • Tri-band Wi-Fi 7: Use the 2,4 GHz, 5 GHz, and 6 GHz bands for combined speeds of up to 11.511 Mbit/s.
  • Interference-free 6 GHz band: Benefit from a clear frequency spectrum for smooth performance, even in high device-density environments.
  • Dual 10G Ethernet ports: Get ultra-fast wired connections for power and backhaul.
  • Wireless mesh: Easily extend coverage with support for Spanning Tree Protocol and mesh networks.
  • Customizable captive portal: Offer guests a secure and professional experience via InControl 2.
  • Centralized management: Manage your Wi-Fi networks with the built-in AP controller on Peplink routers or the InControl cloud platform.
  • Backward compatibility: Compatible with Wi-Fi 6, 5, and 4 standards for seamless integration into existing infrastructure.

Performance and Throughput

The AP One Enterprise uses Wi-Fi 7 with a 4×4 MIMO configuration across all three bands. Theoretical speeds reach up to 1.374 Mbit/s on the 2,4 GHz band, 5.755 Mbit/s on the 5 GHz band, and 11.511 Mbit/s on the 6 GHz band, with channel widths from 20 to 320 MHz. Each radio supports up to 512 simultaneous users and can broadcast 16 different SSIDs, providing enormous capacity for offices, retail spaces, and public venues.

  • Automatic channel selection to optimize performance by avoiding interference.
  • Transmit power adjustment (25 dBm at 2,4/5 GHz, 19 dBm at 6 GHz) for tailored coverage.
  • Neighboring access point detection for intelligent frequency coordination.

Security and Client Management

Security is central to the AP One Enterprise and includes a wide range of encryption methods per band. On the 2,4 GHz and 5 GHz bands, Open, Enhanced Open (OWE), WPA2/WPA3 Personal and Enterprise, and WPA/WPA2 with TKIP/AES are supported. The 6 GHz band is secured exclusively via Enhanced Open (OWE) and WPA3 Personal/Enterprise, ensuring improved protection. Client management is granular: VLAN per SSID with QoS (802.1p/802.1q), bandwidth control, MAC address filtering, Layer 2 isolation, client limiting, and per-client VLAN assignment via RADIUS or VLAN pooling. IGMP snooping and multicast enhancement ensure efficient stream distribution.

  • VLAN per SSID with QoS (802.1p/802.1q) to prioritize critical data streams.
  • Bandwidth control per user or group for fair resource distribution.
  • Layer 2 client isolation to improve security between devices.
  • Customizable captive portal via InControl 2 for guest authentication.

Installation and Network Modes

The AP One Enterprise offers flexible installation options with two operating modes: bridge mode and router (NAT) mode. In router mode, WAN protocols such as PPPoE, static IP, and DHCP are supported, with options to configure a management VLAN, Spanning Tree Protocol (STP), and IPv6 passthrough. The built-in wireless mesh allows coverage to be extended without additional cabling. The device is designed for indoor use and features a plastic housing with integrated omnidirectional antennas (4× 4,6 dBi at 2,4 GHz, 4× 5,3 dBi at 5 GHz, 4× 4,9 dBi at 6 GHz). Please note that the power supply and PoE injector are not included.

  • Local web interface management for direct configuration.
  • Built-in AP controller on Peplink routers for centralized on-site management.
  • InControl 2: cloud platform for deployment, monitoring, and remote policy management.
  • SNMP v1, v2c, and v3 for integration with network monitoring tools.
