Scope of Service and Network Management

The service plan guarantees that your MAX HD2 MBX LTEA reliably delivers its powerful WAN and LAN capabilities. This includes support for PPPoE, static IP addresses, and DHCP for WAN connectivity, a comprehensive Link Health Check, and a bandwidth monitor. The WAN port can be converted into a LAN port if needed. On the LAN side, the device provides a DHCP server with advanced options, DHCP reservation, DNS proxy, and VLAN support—all covered under this plan.

Intelligent load balancing distributes traffic using various algorithms: Weighted Balance, Priority, Overflow, Persistence, Least Used, Lowest Latency, Enforced, and Fastest Response Time, ensuring optimal utilization and failover protection.

Security and VPN

The built-in stateful firewall, DoS prevention, and web-blocking features protect your network from threats. The service plan covers these security mechanisms and ensures their continuous operation.

For cross-site connectivity, comprehensive VPN solutions are available: SpeedFusion VPN for site-to-site connections with 256-bit AES encryption, pre-shared key authentication, dynamic routing, and X.509 certificate support. Additionally, IPsec (network-to-network) and remote user access via PPTP, L2TP, and OpenVPN are supported.

Advanced Features and Location Services

The plan also includes advanced QoS features: individual bandwidth limits, application prioritization for SIP, HTTPS, VPN, and custom application QoS. Edge computing is enabled via Docker on HW3+ devices.

The integrated GPS module provides device location, map view, and tracking data—combined with InControl 2, it also supports fleet management. Additionally, the built-in AP controller automatically manages Peplink access points, including firmware management, profile configuration, and Wi-Fi usage statistics.
