Flexible Connectivity and Easy Integration
The MAX Adapter offers multiple ways to connect to the network. Two Gigabit Ethernet ports and a USB-C port with RNDIS driver for virtual Ethernet connections (Windows and Linux compatible) enable seamless integration into existing infrastructures. The dual SIM architecture supports physical Nano-SIM cards, the pre-installed Peplink eSIM, and your own eSIM profile—ideal for flexible carrier switching or regional adaptations.
Power can be supplied either via the 4-pin Micro-Fit power port (9–36 V DC) or the USB-C port (5 V / 2 A). Both sources can be connected simultaneously; in case of primary supply failure, the device switches to USB-C without interruption. This allows the adapter to be powered by external batteries or mini UPS systems.
Rugged Design for Outdoor Use
The fanless metal housing reliably protects the electronics from dust and mechanical influences. The adapter operates within a wide temperature range of -30 °C to 65 °C and tolerates relative humidity from 15% to 95% (non-condensing). With low power consumption of only 2.2 W under normal operation (maximum 5.7 W) and fast boot time, it is an efficient solution for vehicles, outdoor locations, and remote installations.
Thanks to ignition sensing and GPIO support (Digital Input, Digital Output), the MAX Adapter integrates seamlessly into vehicle and machine control systems. Ignition detection enables automatic startup and shutdown, while the GPIO interface can connect external sensors or actuators.
Intelligent Management and Remote Control
Management is done via the web-based administration interface or the cloud-based InControl 2 platform. This allows remote configuration rollout, firmware updates, and device status monitoring—without requiring a technician on site. The integrated GPS module with SMA antenna connector provides precise location data, which can be used in InControl 2 for live tracking, location history, and fleet management.
For cellular control, APN settings, SMS control, data roaming options, and IP passthrough are available. This ensures you always maintain full control over the connection and can enforce policies centrally.
