Performance Features and Throughput
With the Feature Pack, the BR1 Mini Core becomes a full-featured SD-WAN router. The enabled Ethernet-WAN interface complements the integrated CAT-7/CAT-4 cellular modem, enabling hybrid WAN architectures. The router achieves an aggregate throughput of 300 Mbit/s, while SpeedFusion VPN tunnels deliver 80 Mbit/s without encryption and 60 Mbit/s with 256-bit AES encryption. The combination of Hot Failover and WAN Smoothing ensures that business-critical data streams always use the optimal path.
Management and Integration
The license significantly expands the management capabilities of the BR1 Mini. In addition to the local web interface and CLI, the cloud-based InControl management platform is available. Comprehensive monitoring features such as SNMP v1/v2c/v3, Syslog, active client lists, and bandwidth statistics enable proactive network control. Full GPIO functionality allows direct integration of telemetry devices, sensors, and actuators – ideal for IoT and M2M scenarios.
Security and Compliance
The BR1 Mini with Feature Pack provides a highly secure connectivity platform. The integrated stateful firewall, DoS prevention, and web blocking protect the network from threats. SpeedFusion VPN uses 256-bit AES encryption and pre-shared key authentication, supplemented by dynamic routing and support for RADIUS/LDAP. Certifications according to UL 62368-1, UL 121201 (Class I, Division 2), FCC, CE, and RoHS confirm suitability for demanding industrial environments.
