Use Cases

With an operating temperature range of -40 °C to +65 °C and ignition sensing on the power port, the MAX BR2 Pro is ideal for vehicles and other demanding environments. Flexible power options—including 802.3at PoE, power adapter, or DC input—simplify integration into existing infrastructures. For SIM management, the device supports Nano-SIM (4FF), Peplink eSIM, BYO eSIM (two profiles per modem), RemoteSIM, and FusionSIM, enabling large-scale deployments across multiple sites without manual SIM swaps.

Dual-Modem Architecture and Failover Protection

The core of the MAX BR2 Pro is its two independent 5G modems, each with redundant SIM slots. Combined with Peplink’s SpeedFusion technology—featuring hot failover, bandwidth bonding, and smoothing—both cellular connections and additional WAN uplinks (Ethernet, USB, Wi-Fi) can be merged into a single, resilient link. This ensures connectivity remains uninterrupted even if a mobile network or physical line fails.

Management with InControl 2

Management is available via the local web interface, command line, or Peplink’s cloud platform InControl 2, which also integrates GPS location tracking and fleet management using the built-in GPS module. For edge computing applications, 8 GB of internal storage is available for Docker containers.
