Connectivity & Interfaces

The router delivers a routing throughput of 2,5 Gbit/s across all Gigabit Ethernet ports, with nine 10/100/1000M LAN ports and two 10/100/1000M Ethernet WAN ports for flexible multi-ISP installations. An integrated LTEA-PRO modem with redundant SIM slots enables CAT-12 LTE with 600 Mbit/s downlink and 150 Mbit/s uplink, ensuring seamless cellular failover when the primary WAN connection is impaired. Two USB 2.0 interfaces provide additional connectivity options, including support for external 4G/3G USB modems. The WAN interface supports PPPoE, static IP, and DHCP configurations with connection checks via PING, DNS lookup, and HTTP. Included are IPv6 support and a bandwidth quota monitor, as well as compatibility with dynamic DNS services such as changeip.com, dyndns.org, no-ip.org, tzo.com, and DNS-O-Matic.

VPN & Security

SpeedFusion VPN enables site-to-site connectivity with bandwidth bonding, hot failover, and 256-bit AES encryption for secure tunnels across multiple WAN connections. The router also supports IPsec VPN with X.509 certificates, GRE tunneling for network-to-network connections, as well as PPTP, L2TP, and OpenVPN server functionality. PepVPN throughput reaches 600 Mbit/s without encryption and 500 Mbit/s with 256-bit AES encryption. Security features include DoS protection, a stateful firewall, web blocking, web filtering, and blacklist functions. Local user authentication supports integration with Active Directory, and pre-shared key authentication is available for VPN tunnels.

Load Balancing & Quality of Service

Intelligent failover and service-based load balancing are supported via multiple algorithms, including Weighted, Enforced, Persistence, Priority, Overflow, Least Used, Lowest Latency, and Fastest Response Time. Session persistence ensures stable connections during failover events. The advanced QoS offers bandwidth reservation, individual bandwidth limits, and application prioritization by user group, with dedicated support for SIP, HTTPS, and VPN traffic. Custom QoS rules for applications can be created to meet industry-specific traffic requirements.

Network & Management Features

The router features a built-in AP controller that supports the Pepwave AP series, with automatic detection, automatic firmware management, AP profile configuration, and Wi-Fi usage statistics. A captive portal supports both wired and wireless LAN clients with RADIUS and LDAP authentication, time and usage limits in open access mode, and a built-in, customizable login page. The built-in authoritative DNS server supports A, CNAME, NS, MX, PTR, SOA, SRV, and TXT records. Network features include NAT and IP forwarding, static routes, port forwarding, 1:1 and many-to-one NAT, NAT pool, SIP ALG, H.323 ALG, UPnP, NAT-PMP, WINS server, VRRP HA support, and the routing protocols BGP, OSPFv2, and RIPv2. VLAN on the LAN is supported, as is DHCP server functionality, advanced DHCP options, DHCP reservation, and DNS proxy for LAN clients.

The router operates in a temperature range of -40° to 65°C (-40° to 149°F) and supports humidity levels of 15 % to 95 % non-condensing. The power supply accepts 12V to 30V DC at a maximum power consumption of 30W. The device measures 43 x 292 x 177 mm (1,7 x 11,5 x 7,0 inches) and weighs 3,3 kg (7,28 pounds).
