The PLANET Industrial L2+ 4-Port 10/100/1000T + 2-Port Managed Switch is a fully managed industrial switch in a compact IP30 metal housing that combines four Gigabit copper ports and two 100/1000X SFP slots for fiber uplinks. With redundant 12–48V DC/24V AC power supply, an operating temperature range of -40 to 75 °C, and ERPS ring redundancy with recovery times under 50 ms, it provides maximum fail-safe reliability for harsh environments.

Performance Features and Throughput
The store-and-forward architecture provides a non-blocking switch fabric of 18 Gbps and achieves a throughput of 13.39 Mpps with 64-byte packets. Jumbo frames up to 9 KByte are supported, as well as IEEE 802.3x flow control (pause frames for full duplex, backpressure for half duplex). The MAC address table includes 8K entries with automatic learning and aging, the shared data buffer is 4 MBit. Comprehensive per-port bandwidth control allows ingress and egress rates from 500 Kbit/s to 1000 Mbit/s.
Industrial-Grade Design and Power Supply
The robust IP30 metal housing reliably protects the electronics and allows mounting on DIN rail or wall. The redundant power supply is provided via a removable 6-pin terminal block (12–48V DC, 24V AC) with reverse polarity protection. A potential-free relay output (1A @ 24V DC) reports power supply failures. ESD protection (Air 8KV, Contact 6KV) as well as certified resistance to shock, vibration and drop (IEC60068-2-27, -2-6, -2-32) ensure operation under extreme conditions at -40 to 75 °C.
Management and Security
Configuration is performed via console CLI (RJ45-RS232), web GUI, Telnet or SNMP v1/v2c/v3. Encrypted access via SSHv2 and TLS v1.2 as well as SNMPv3 secure the management communication. IEEE 802.1X (port-based and MAC-based) with RADIUS and TACACS+ client, dynamic ARP inspection, IP source guard, DHCP snooping and ACLs (MAC and IP-based, up to 256 entries) protect the network. Firmware upgrades, configuration backup and syslog are performed via HTTP/TFTP; PLANET Smart Discovery Utility and CloudViewer App facilitate commissioning.
Network Features and Redundancy
The switch supports IEEE 802.1Q VLANs, Q-in-Q, Private VLAN Edge, MAC and protocol-based VLANs, Voice VLAN as well as MVR and GVRP (up to 4K VLAN groups). Layer-3 static routing (IPv4/IPv6) with up to 32 routing entries and 8 VLAN interfaces extends deployment options. ERPS according to ITU-T G.8032 provides ring redundancy with recovery times <10 ms for 3 units and <50 ms for 16 units. Spanning Tree (STP, RSTP, MSTP), Link Aggregation (LACP, 4 groups of 4 ports each) and Loop Protection prevent loops. IGMP/MLD Snooping (v1/v2/v3) with querier, QoS with 8 priority queues, Port Mirroring (including RSPAN) and IEEE 1588v2 PTP (Transparent Clock) round out the performance spectrum.
