E-Mobility Management with CAN Data Integration

The FTC305 has been specifically developed to meet the requirements of electrically powered fleets. Via the CAN interface, the device reads vehicle-specific parameters such as state of charge, energy consumption, and battery condition. The integrated BMS monitoring delivers real-time data on voltage, temperature, and cell balancing of the traction battery. In addition, the tracker detects and logs battery swap operations – an essential function for fleets using swappable battery systems, enabling tracking of usage cycles and locations of individual batteries.

Flexible Installation and Robust Design

The FTC305 offers maximum flexibility for vehicle integration. The compact, IP67-rated housing is dustproof and protected against temporary immersion, allowing installation even in exposed areas. For extremely tight installation spaces, a unique no-casing option is available – the electronics are installed directly without an external housing. Power is supplied via the included 7-pin main cable, which covers a wide voltage range from 10 V to 97 V, making it compatible with virtually all common vehicle electrical systems.

Precise Positioning and Reliable Connectivity

The FTC305 uses 4G LTE Cat 1 for efficient, wide-area data transmission with low latency. Enhanced GNSS accuracy ensures precise positioning – even in urban canyons or under dense tree cover. Combined with CAN data reading, this creates a complete picture of vehicle status, battery condition, and location, giving fleet managers a solid basis for route optimization, maintenance planning, and energy efficiency.
