Connectivity and Protocols

The gateway connects serial industrial devices to cellular networks via an RS232 interface, supporting LTE Cat 4 as well as 3G and 2G networks as fallback. The implemented protocols DNP3 and Modbus enable direct integration with industrial systems and automation equipment. An additional Micro-USB port is available for configuration and maintenance.

Software and Management

The device runs RutOS, an OpenWRT-based operating system that provides a wide range of networking features. These include SMS control, VPN tunneling with IPsec, an integrated firewall, and FOTA support for wireless firmware updates. The gateway is compatible with Teltonika Networks' Remote Management System (RMS), allowing multiple devices to be monitored and managed centrally.

Design and Power Supply

With its ultra-small and lightweight design, the gateway is ideal for installations where space is limited. The aluminum housing is built for durability in industrial environments. The voltage range of 9 to 30 V enables operation with various power sources, and its energy-efficient design reduces power consumption during continuous operation.
