Description

Key Highlights at a Glance

  • 8 Gigabit Ports with PoE+: 30 W per port, 240 W total budget
  • 2 SFP Ports: Fiber uplinks for long distances
  • PROFINET Class B & EtherNet/IP: seamless integration into automation networks
  • TSWOS (OpenWrt-based): open Linux OS with SDK
  • Robust Design: IP30, -40 °C to 75 °C, aluminum housing
  • Layer-3 Routing: static IPv4/IPv6 routing, VLAN, STP/RSTP
  • Flexible Mounting: DIN rail, wall, or flat surface

Powerful Hardware & Robust Design

The TSW202 delivers non-blocking bandwidth of 20 Gbps and a forwarding rate of 14.88 Mpps. A 512 KB packet buffer and support for jumbo frames up to 10,000 bytes ensure efficient data processing even under heavy traffic. The MAC address table holds 8,000 entries.

The anodized aluminum housing and IP30 protection make the switch resistant to dust and mechanical influences. It operates reliably in temperatures from -40 °C to 75 °C and humidity levels from 10% to 90% (non-condensing). The integrated DIN rail mounting, optional wall mounting, and flat placement offer maximum flexibility. Status LEDs for Power, AUX, LAN, and SFP, plus a software reset button and grounding screw terminal, complete the industrial-grade design.

Comprehensive Management & Layer-3 Features

The TSWOS operating system, based on OpenWrt, provides extensive configuration options. In addition to an SDK with build environment, it supports the languages Busybox Shell, Lua, C, and C++. Firmware updates can be performed via web UI, RMS, or FOTA without losing the current configuration.

  • Port Settings: Enable/disable, speed control, port isolation, PoE management, EEE (802.3az), port mirroring
  • L2 Features: Loop Protection, Forwarding Table, VLAN, STP/RSTP
  • L3 Features: static IPv4 and IPv6 routing, DHCPv6 client, static IPv6 address
  • QoS: port priority, DSCP, 802.1p, TOS, scheduling via SP/WFQ/WRR
  • Bandwidth Control: rate limiting, Storm Control, port-based traffic shaping
  • Diagnostics: cable diagnostics, ping, traceroute, nslookup

Industrial Protocols & Network Security

The switch is certified for PROFINET (Class B) and EtherNet/IP and supports MRP in both client and manager roles. LLDP and SNMP v2/v3 enable transparent monitoring and integration into existing management systems. DHCP server and client functions simplify IP address assignment.

Extensive certifications—including CE, UKCA, FCC, IC, CB, RoHS, REACH, and various EN standards for electromagnetic compatibility—demonstrate compliance with international safety and environmental standards.

PoE+ for Demanding End Devices

All eight copper ports deliver PoE+ according to IEEE 802.3af/at (Alternative B) with up to 30 W per port. The total budget of 240 W powers even high-demand devices such as PTZ cameras, WLAN access points, or industrial PCs. The PoE voltage input is 44–57 VDC, with a maximum cable length of 100 m. The switch itself is powered via a 2-pin industrial DC connector with 7–57 VDC and consumes less than 3 W in idle mode.
