Wi-Fi 6 Performance and Efficiency

The EAP615-Wall utilizes the Wi-Fi 6 standard (802.11ax) and achieves combined data rates of up to 1201 Mbps on 5 GHz and 574 Mbps on 2.4 GHz. OFDMA and MU-MIMO enhance efficiency in environments with many concurrent clients — the access point supports over 120 simultaneous connections. Beamforming focuses the signal directly toward end devices, improving range and stability. Transmit power is below 20 dBm (2.4 GHz EIRP) and 23 dBm (5 GHz EIRP) in the CE region.

Flexible Installation and Design

The compact housing (143 × 86 × 20 mm) mounts directly onto a wall outlet and blends discreetly into any environment. Four integrated Gigabit Ethernet ports provide wired connectivity: one uplink port connects the access point to the network, while three downlink ports supply local devices such as IP phones or TVs. One of the downlink ports can power another device via PoE pass-through — with 802.3at PoE+ input, up to 13 W (EU version) or 12 W (US version) is available. The access point itself is powered via 802.3af/at PoE, requiring only a single network cable.

Centralized Management with Omada SDN

The EAP615-Wall seamlessly integrates into the Omada SDN ecosystem. Using hardware controllers (OC200, OC300), the software controller application, or the cloud-based Omada platform, you can centrally manage all access points. Zero-Touch Provisioning enables automatic configuration of new devices without manual intervention. The intuitive web interface (HTTP/HTTPS), SNMP v1/v2c/v3, SSH, and the Omada App offer comprehensive management options. Multi-site management, management VLAN, and email notifications round out professional administration.

Security and Access Control

For demanding environments, the access point offers a wide range of security features. WPA3-Personal/Enterprise, 802.1X, and RADIUS accounting ensure strong encryption and authentication. A Captive Portal allows customized login pages, while MAC authentication, access control, and wireless isolation regulate network access granularly. Rogue AP detection and VLAN support further enhance security. Up to 16 SSIDs (8 per band) allow separation of guest and internal networks.
