Performance and Throughput

The PrismStation 5AC supports airMAX ac mode for point-to-point and point-to-multipoint connections. Channel width is selectable from 10/20/30/40/50/60/80 MHz for PtP and 10/20/30/40 MHz for PtMP. Output power is 28 dBm for modulation schemes from 1x BPSK ½ to 6x 64QAM 2/3, dropping to 24 dBm at 8x 256QAM ¾ and to 22 dBm at 8x 256QAM 5/6. Receive sensitivity ranges from −96 dBm at 1x BPSK ½ to −65 dBm at 8x 256QAM 5/6. Transmit power and receive sensitivity tolerance is ±2 dB for the 1x BPSK ½ scheme. Maximum VSWR is 2:1.

Management and Features

The device supports network services including bridging, routing, DHCP, SNMP, SSH, and an integrated web server. The Ping Watchdog feature ensures link availability monitoring. Quality of Service is implemented via WMM packet classification with user-defined priorities: High, Medium, and Low. Statistical reporting covers data rates, Ethernet throughput, packet errors, uptime, and wireless distance. Distance configuration modes include Ackless and Dynamic ACK. Traffic shaping with burst support, discovery protocol, and frequency offset are also supported.

Power and Mounting

Power is supplied via passive PoE over two pairs (pins 4, 5+ and 7, 8 return), with a 24 V, 1 A Gigabit PoE adapter included. The supported voltage range is 20–27 V DC with a maximum power consumption of 10 W. The device measures 155 × 155 × 104 mm and weighs 0.8 kg. A mast-mount kit measuring 83 × 117 × 69 mm and weighing 0.8 kg is included. Tilt adjustment range is ±20°. The device withstands winds up to 200 km/h with a wind load of 31 N. ESD/EMP protection is ±24 kV contact/air. The processor is a MIPS 74 Kc with 128 MB DDR2 SDRAM and 16 MB NOR FLASH memory.

Antennas Compatibility

The device works with horn antennas: Horn-5-30 (30° beamwidth, 19 dBi gain), Horn-5-45 (45°, 15.5 dBi), Horn-5-60 (60°, 16 dBi), and Horn-5-90 (90°, 13 dBi). It also supports the U-OMT-Dish reflector antenna with 27 dBi gain and 6.5° beamwidth. Polarization is dual-linear. It features one GPS RF connector and one GbE RJ45 port for network connectivity.
