Performance and Throughput

The EdgeSwitch Lite is engineered for simultaneous line-rate operation across all ports without packet loss. With a non-blocking architecture, the 24-port model achieves a total throughput of 26 Gbps and a switching capacity of 52 Gbps. The forwarding rate of 38.69 Mpps ensures even demanding workloads are handled with minimal latency. An 8,000-entry MAC address table enables efficient communication in medium to large Layer 2 domains.

Ports and Connectivity

The switch provides 24 Gigabit Ethernet RJ45 ports with 10/100/1000 Mbps, plus two SFP ports for fiber uplinks up to 1 Gbps. A dedicated serial RJ45 console port allows out-of-band access for initial configuration and troubleshooting. Each data port features LEDs for speed, link, and activity, enabling quick on-site status checks.

Management and Layer 2 Features

The EdgeSwitch Lite supports a comprehensive suite of advanced Layer 2 protocols. VLANs can be segmented with up to 255 instances, and Multiple Spanning Tree Protocol (MSTP) with 4 instances ensures loop-free redundancy. Link Aggregation (LAG) bundles up to 6 groups for increased bandwidth and failover protection. Access Control Lists (ACLs) with 100 entries and 10 rules per port enable granular traffic filtering. Eight traffic classes (queues) provide the foundation for prioritized data forwarding.

Design and Power Supply

The device is designed for 1U rack mounting and comes with mounting brackets. Dimensions are 443 × 43 × 221 mm, and the weight is 2.6 kg (with brackets). Power is supplied via an internal AC/DC power supply (100–240 VAC, 50/60 Hz, 25 W maximum power consumption) or optionally through the DC input (25 W, 25–16 V, 2.5-mm barrel connector) for redundant or standalone DC operation scenarios. Comprehensive ESD/EMP protection of ±24 kV (air/contact) and compliance with the ETSI300-019-1.4 standard for shock and vibration ensure high reliability even in demanding environments.
