The Ubiquiti SuperLink Glass Break Sensor is a battery-powered sensor for UniFi Protect that combines advanced glass-break detection with PIR motion detection. It identifies six glass types and connects via the proprietary SuperLink protocol with a range of up to 2 km. Detectable glass sizes range from 280 x 356 mm to 1067 x 1626 mm with thicknesses of 2.4 mm, 3.2 mm, 4.8 mm, and 6.4 mm. An additional PIR sensor provides a second layer of detection for movement within the monitored area. Connectivity & Integration Connection to the UniFi network is established via the proprietary SuperLink protocol, operating in the EU range of 865.1 to 869.5 MHz and in the US range of 915.6 to 927.6 MHz. With an antenna gain of 1 dBi and a maximum transmit power of 14 dBm, the sensor achieves a range of up to 2 km. Management and monitoring are fully integrated into UniFi Protect, accessible via the web application and mobile apps for iOS and Android. Design & Power Supply The housing and mounting bracket are made of polycarbonate, and the sensor weighs 70 g with the bracket and batteries. Power is supplied by two CR123A lithium batteries at 3 V, with a maximum power consumption of 0.2 W and a battery life of up to 3 years. A function button, factory reset, and tamper switch are included; two LEDs indicate status and signal quality. The sensor is designed for ambient temperatures of 0 to 40 °C and humidity levels of 10 to 90% (non-condensing).
