Performance and Throughput

The UniFi AP AC FlexHD leverages 802.11ac Wave 2 with 3x3 MU-MIMO on both frequency bands to simultaneously serve multiple clients with high throughput. In the 5 GHz band, it achieves a maximum data rate of 1.3 Gbit/s (BW80), while in the 2.4 GHz band, it reaches 450 Mbit/s (BW40). With 6 spatial streams and channel bandwidths of 20, 40, and 80 MHz, it adapts flexibly to different environments. Coverage of 140 m² and support for over 250 concurrent clients make it a powerful foundation for high-density usage scenarios.

Flexible Design and Mounting

The compact housing made of robust polycarbonate (⌀196.7 x 35 mm, 350 g) is designed for continuous indoor and outdoor use, withstanding temperatures from -10 to 70 °C and high humidity. Mounting is possible on ceilings or walls—with the optional Pro Mount offering even greater flexibility. Two Gigabit Ethernet ports provide redundant uplink options. Power over Ethernet (44–57 V DC) simplifies installation; a PoE adapter is included. A status LED provides an at-a-glance overview of the operational state.

Intelligent Security and Guest Access

The FlexHD offers comprehensive security and guest access features. A captive portal with a customizable landing page supports password, voucher, and payment-based authentication, as well as integration with external portal servers. Private Pre-Shared Keys (PPSK) enable differentiated access rights per user group. RADIUS over TLS (RadSec) and dynamic VLAN assignment ensure secure, policy-based network segmentation. Client isolation, Wi-Fi scheduling, and bandwidth limiting per SSID complete the security package.

Reliability and Compliance

The access point is NDAA-compliant and meets CE, FCC, IC, and Anatel (01943-16-08356) certifications. It supports wireless meshing for easy network coverage expansion without additional cabling. The operating temperature range of -10 to 70 °C and humidity tolerance of 5 to 95% (non-condensing) ensure reliable continuous operation even in challenging environmental conditions.
