Performance and Throughput
The UniFi AP AC PRO access points leverage the WiFi 5 (802.11ac) standard with 3x3 MIMO and downlink MU-MIMO on both frequency bands. Six spatial streams enable a maximum data rate of 1.3 Gbps in the 5 GHz band (BW80) and 450 Mbps in the 2.4 GHz band (BW40). Supported channel bandwidths include HT20/40 and VHT20/40/80. The access points handle 802.11ac data rates from 6.5 Mbps to 1.3 Gbps (MCS0–MCS9 NSS1/2/3) and 802.11n data rates from 6.5 Mbps to 450 Mbps (MCS0–MCS23). With a transmit power of up to 22 dBm on both bands and an antenna gain of 3 dBi, reliable coverage of 140 m² per device is achieved.
Design and Installation
The compact polycarbonate housing measures ⌀196.7 x 35 mm and weighs 350 g (450 g with mounting bracket). Installation is flexible, supporting ceiling or wall mounting (Pro Mount compatible). Two Gigabit Ethernet RJ45 ports serve as uplink and for wired extensions. Power is supplied via PoE (44–57 V DC), with a PoE adapter included. Maximum power consumption is 9 W. A status LED indicates operational state. The access point operates reliably in ambient temperatures from -10 to 70 °C and humidity levels of 5 to 95% (non-condensing).
