Performance & Capacity

The UNVR is powered by a quad-core ARM Cortex-A57 processor running at 1.7 GHz and features 4 GB of system memory along with 8 GB of built-in flash storage. Four 2.5/3.5-inch drive bays accommodate HDDs or SSDs, providing scalable storage for video recordings. Managed camera capacity extends to 60 HD, 30 2K, or 18 4K cameras.

Network & Management

For network connectivity, the device includes one 10/100/1000 Mbps RJ45 Ethernet port and one 1/10 Gbps SFP+ port. Management is handled via in-band Ethernet. In addition to UniFi Protect, the recorder supports UniFi Access and UniFi Connect, enabling door access control and other UniFi applications to run on the same platform. The recorder also manages over 150 access hubs.

Chassis & Power Supply

The device is designed as a 1U rackmount unit with dimensions of 442 × 325 × 44 mm. The chassis and mounting hardware are made of SGCC steel. Without mounting brackets, the recorder weighs 5.11 kg; with brackets, it weighs 5.20 kg. The internal AC/DC power supply delivers 120 W, with a maximum total power consumption of 100 W and a 75 W power budget for the drives. For power redundancy, an additional USP-RPS DC input (11.5 V, 10.43 A) is provided alongside the universal AC input (100–240 V).

Environmental Conditions & Compliance

The recorder is designed for operating temperatures from -5 to 40 °C and humidity levels of 5 to 95% non-condensing. ESD protection is rated at ±12 kV in air and ±8 kV for contact discharge. The device is NDAA-compliant and holds certifications for FCC, CE, and IC.
