60 GHz Wireless Bridge Technology

The UBB operates on the 60 GHz frequency band (57–66 GHz), which offers extremely high throughput with minimal interference due to atmospheric absorption and highly directional antennas. The main radio delivers up to 1.7 Gbps using 802.11ad technology, with channel bandwidths of 1,080 or 2,160 MHz. For link resilience, a concurrent 5 GHz radio (802.11ac) provides a backup path with up to 866.6 Mbps throughput, ensuring connectivity even when 60 GHz signals are obstructed by rain or physical obstacles.

Designed for Harsh Environments

The UBB is built to withstand extreme outdoor conditions. Its UV-resistant polycarbonate enclosure is IPX6 weatherproof, protecting against powerful water jets. The device operates reliably in temperatures from -40 to 70° C and humidity up to 95% noncondensing. With a wind loading rating of 56 N at 200 km/h, it remains stable in high winds. The compact form factor (⌀140 x 90 mm) and light weight (376 g) allow discreet installation. A 3-axis ball joint mount enables precise alignment, and the bridge can be mounted on a wall or pole.

Management and Power

The UBB is powered via Power over Ethernet (PoE), with an included PoE adapter, and consumes a maximum of 11W. It supports a voltage range of 44–57V DC. Management is available over Ethernet or Bluetooth, allowing local configuration and monitoring without a separate controller. A factory reset button and RGB system LED provide straightforward status indication.

Compliance and Security

The UBB meets NDAA compliance requirements, making it suitable for U.S. government deployments. It carries CE, FCC, and IC certifications. Wireless security is enforced with WPA2 AES encryption, ensuring data protection across the bridge link.
