Management and Configuration

The US-24-250W is centrally managed through the UniFi Controller Software, which provides a unified interface for configuring and monitoring all UniFi devices. UniFi Network version 6.3.51 or higher is required. Administrators can set per-port operation modes such as switching, mirroring, or aggregation (LACP) and benefit from extensive diagnostic features.

Security and Access Control

To safeguard network access, the switch offers a wide range of security mechanisms. These include 802.1X authentication, MAC-based access control lists (ACLs) with device isolation, IP-based ACLs and network isolation, as well as DHCP Snooping with Guarding. Additionally, MAC-based port restrictions, port isolation, and MAC address blocking can be configured. Storm Control, along with multicast and broadcast rate limiting, prevents network congestion from unwanted traffic.

Layer-2 Features and Network Optimization

The switch supports a broad range of Layer-2 protocols for traffic optimization. Spanning Tree (STP) and Rapid Spanning Tree (RSTP) ensure loop-free topologies, while Loop Protection adds extra security. IGMP Snooping with advanced configuration options (Querier, Fast Leave, Router Port) optimizes multicast streams. Voice VLAN prioritizes voice data, and LLDP-MED simplifies automatic endpoint detection. Jumbo Frames, flow control, and egress rate limiting round out the feature set.
