Performance & Throughput

The switch provides a total switching capacity of 52 Gbps and a non-blocking throughput of 26 Gbps, with a forwarding rate of 39 million packets per second. Jumbo frame support, flow control, and storm control ensure efficient traffic handling. Egress rate limiting and multicast/broadcast rate limiting allow fine-grained bandwidth management across all ports.

Power over Ethernet

An internal 120W AC/DC power supply allocates 95W for PoE, with each of the 16 PoE+ ports capable of delivering up to 32W. The universal AC input (100–240V, 50/60 Hz) simplifies deployment in diverse electrical environments. Heat dissipation is 85.3 BTU/hr excluding PoE output, ensuring reliable operation under load.

Advanced Management & Security

The switch supports a comprehensive suite of Layer 2 features, including LACP port aggregation, STP/RSTP, and IGMP snooping with advanced configuration (querier, fast leave, router port). VLAN support extends to 1,000 networks, with voice VLAN and virtual network override. Security is enforced through 802.1X control, MAC-based ACLs and device isolation, DHCP snooping and guarding, IP-based ACLs, port isolation, and MAC address blocking. Additional protections include storm control, loop protection, and port mirroring for diagnostics.

Deployment & Physical Design

Housed in an SGCC steel enclosure, the switch occupies 1U of rack space and supports rack depths from 400 to 1200 mm. Dimensions are 442 x 200 x 44 mm (17.4 x 7.9 x 1.7") and weight is 3 kg (6.6 lb) without brackets. The 1.3" touchscreen provides immediate status information. ESD protection is rated at ±16kV air and ±12kV contact. Operating temperature range is -5 to 40° C (23 to 104° F) with 10 to 90% noncondensing humidity. The switch is NDAA compliant and carries CE, FCC, IC, and Anatel certifications.
