The Ubiquiti UniFi Enterprise 8 PoE is a Layer 3 managed switch with eight 2.5GbE RJ45 PoE+ ports and two 10G SFP+ ports, designed for enterprise networks requiring device power and high-performance switching in a compact desktop form factor.

Switching performance and capacity
The switch delivers 80 Gbps switching capacity and 40 Gbps non-blocking throughput, with a forwarding rate of 60 Mpps. Its 1.5 MB packet buffer and 16,000-entry MAC address table enable high-traffic handling in enterprise environments without degradation. The eight RJ45 ports operate at 2.5G, 1G, or 100M, while the two SFP+ ports support 10G and 1G speeds for high-capacity uplinks.

PoE power and consumption
All RJ45 ports provide PoE+ power with a maximum of 32W per port and a total PoE budget of 120W. The device’s maximum power consumption is 30W without PoE load and 150W including PoE output, powered by a built-in 150W AC/DC power supply with universal 100–240V AC input at 50/60 Hz. Thermal dissipation is 102.4 BTU/hr excluding PoE output.

Network management and features
Management is performed via Ethernet AR and requires UniFi Network version 6.3.51 or later, integrating into the UniFi platform for centralized administration. The switch supports up to 1,000 VLANs, inter-VLAN routing, IPv4 static routes with a maximum of 256 entries, and a DHCP server for local networks. It includes LACP port aggregation, STP and RSTP, advanced IGMP configuration with querier, fast leave, and router port, as well as IGMP snooping and jumbo frame support.

Security and compliance
The device features 802.1X control, MAC- and IP-based access control lists, device isolation, MAC address locking, and port restriction by MAC. Additional functions such as DHCP snooping and guard, egress rate limiting, storm control, multicast and broadcast limiting, port isolation, port mirroring, and loop protection enhance network security. The switch is NDAA-compliant and includes ±16kV air and ±12kV contact ESD protection.

Design and installation
With a compact desktop form factor and dimensions of 200 x 248 x 44 mm, the switch weighs 2.4 kg and can be rack-mounted with supported depths of 400 to 1200 mm. The enclosure and mounting bracket are made of polycarbonate. It includes a 1.3" touchscreen LCM for local status display.
