Course Content

The ECSE Advanced Design course goes far beyond the fundamentals and teaches advanced techniques for demanding Wi-Fi projects. Participants learn to model complex network environments with Ekahau AI Pro Online while mastering real-world challenges such as high attenuation, interference, and capacity bottlenecks. A key focus is floorplan manipulation – from importing large CAD and PDF files to optimizing them for precise heatmaps. In the hands-on labs, participants use the Ekahau Sidekick 2 to perform highly accurate spectrum and packet analyses, thereby identifying hidden sources of interference across all three bands. The content is aligned with the latest Wi-Fi standards, including 6-GHz band usage.

Certification & Accreditation

The course is BICSI-accredited and qualifies for earning Continuing Education Credits (CECs). Upon successful completion, participants receive the ECSE Advanced certification, which extends a currently valid ECSE certification by three years. Additionally, free access to the Ekahau AI Pro Classic Custom Reporting Video-on-Demand training is included to reinforce what has been learned.

Prerequisites

A valid ECSE certification is required, as the Advanced course builds on this foundation. During the course, a temporary Ekahau Connect license is provided, so all required tools can be used without your own license. Participants need administrative rights on their local computer to install the software, as well as a fast and stable internet connection, a computer with video and audio capability, and a physical mouse (no trackpad) for precise design work.
