The curriculum covers all relevant knowledge domains for professional Wi-Fi design. From RF fundamentals and modulation techniques to channel planning in 2.4, 5, and 6 GHz, the course provides solid technical expertise. The exam content is divided into: Ekahau Tools & Methodology (3%), Standards & Regulations (3%), RF Fundamentals (8%), Modulations & Spectrum (3%), Wi-Fi Channels & Transmit Power (5%), Association & Roaming (5%), Contention (9%), Wi-Fi Security (3%), Predictive Wi-Fi Design (30%), Wi-Fi Validation Surveys (28%), and Ekahau Reporting (3%). Covered standards include 802.11 Prime, a, b, g, n, ac, ax, be, as well as Wi-Fi 7 and 6 GHz.
Hands-On Learning with Ekahau Tools
The ECSE Design Class emphasizes immediate application. Participants receive a temporary Ekahau Connect license for Ekahau AI Pro, Ekahau Survey, and Ekahau Analyzer. In 13 practical exercises, real-world scenarios are simulated—from predictive planning with AI Pro Online, to collecting survey data via Autopilot and Just Go, to performance analysis using the Ekahau Optimizer. Additionally, troubleshooting, packet analysis, and spectrum analysis are covered in depth. Technical requirements: administrator rights on the local machine to install AI Pro, stable internet connection, computer with video and audio capabilities, and a physical mouse.
Certification & Accreditation
Upon successful completion and passing the exam, participants receive the ECSE Design Certification. This validates in-depth knowledge of Wi-Fi design and validation using Ekahau solutions. The course is BICSI-accredited and qualifies for BICSI Continuing Education Credits (CECs). The digital badge and Credly certificate provide internationally recognized proof of qualification.

The ECSE Design Class is offered as in-person training with a group size of up to 12 students. The daily schedule includes 9:00 AM–12:30 PM, a one-hour lunch break, and 1:30 PM–5:00 PM.
