Comprehensive Curriculum for Modern WLAN Design

The curriculum covers all relevant knowledge domains—from RF fundamentals and modulation techniques to channel planning and roaming. You’ll learn how to create precise predictive designs for multi-story offices, warehouses, and high-density environments online using Ekahau AI Pro. The content aligns with current standards and addresses the unique requirements of the 2.4-, 5-, and 6-GHz bands, including DFS, AFC, and PSD for 6 GHz.

A key focus is on validation: you’ll capture survey data using Autopilot and Just-Go modes, analyze performance with the Ekahau Optimizer, and generate meaningful reports. Topics such as Wi-Fi security, troubleshooting via packet capture and spectrum analysis, as well as the fundamentals of MIMO, OFDMA, and channel aggregation are taught in a practical, real-world context.

Hands-On Exercises and Professional Tools

Throughout the course, you’ll work with the full Ekahau Connect Suite—including Ekahau AI Pro, Ekahau Survey, and Ekahau Analyzer. The 13 integrated exercises are designed to simulate real-world planning and optimization scenarios. Instructor-led labs are supplemented with real-world case studies and demonstrations to help you avoid common pitfalls and apply best practices directly to your projects.

Certification and Accreditation

Upon completing the training, you’ll take the ECSE Design exam. The test evaluates knowledge across all key domains—with emphasis on predictive design (30%) and validation surveys (28%). Upon passing, you’ll receive the internationally recognized ECSE Design Certificate. The curriculum is BICSI-accredited, allowing you to earn valuable Continuing Education Credits (CECs).

Technical Requirements

To participate, you’ll need a computer with administrator rights to install Ekahau software, a stable internet connection, video and audio capabilities, and a physical mouse. A temporary Ekahau Connect license will be provided to you in advance of the course start date.
