The course teaches a structured troubleshooting approach – from reactive problem solving to proactive network optimization – using the full Ekahau Connect Suite including Sidekick 2.

Hands-On Troubleshooting

In intensive hands-on labs, you apply what you’ve learned directly to real-world implementation scenarios. You conduct assessment surveys, analyze live 802.11 data with Ekahau AI Pro and Sidekick 2, and use the Ekahau Analyzer App for protocol and spectrum analysis. Integration with Ekahau and Speedtest enables even faster issue resolution.

The course covers the three “C”s of survey analysis – Coverage, Capacity, and Channels – and shows how to perform super-accurate Wi-Fi site surveys using Ekahau’s five tips. You’ll learn various survey methods (Stop & Go, Continuous, Autopilot, JustGo, GPS) as well as how to handle device offsets to achieve precise results.

Certification and Prerequisites

Upon successful completion, you receive the ECSE Troubleshooting Certificate and a digital Credly badge. The certification renews all your existing ECSE certifications for three years. The course is BICSI-accredited, with corresponding Continuing Education Credits awarded.

Prerequisites include a basic understanding of Ekahau tools and software; ECSE Design certification is strongly recommended. Technically, you need administrator rights on your local machine to install AI Pro, a strong internet connection, a computer with video and audio capabilities, and a physical mouse. For the duration of the course, Ekahau provides a temporary Ekahau Connect license, allowing you to use AI Pro on your computer and Survey and Analyzer on a mobile device. The course is offered in nine languages: English, French, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Dutch, Polish, Mandarin Chinese, and Hindi.
