Connectivity and Protocols

The system provides front-end port types for 8/16/32 Gbps FC as well as 1/10/25 GbE, enabling flexible connections to Fibre Channel and Ethernet-based storage networks. This configuration includes eight 1GbE ports and four 10GbE ports with multi-mode SFP+. The maximum number of front-end ports per controller enclosure is 28, and up to four hot-swappable I/O modules can be installed per controller enclosure. Supported storage protocols are FC and iSCSI.

Storage Capacity and RAID Protection

The back-end operates with SAS 3.0 and features four SAS 3.0 ports. A total of 25 drive bays for 2.5-inch SAS drives are available in the enclosure. Supported SSD capacities include 960 GB, 1.92 TB, 3.84 TB, and 7.68 TB as SAS SSDs, with the system capable of managing up to 200 SSDs. The maximum configurable number of LUNs is 2048. In addition to RAID 5, RAID 6, and RAID 10, the system supports RAID-TP, which tolerates simultaneous failures of three SSDs.

Design and Power Supply

The 2U enclosure measures 86.1 mm in height, 447 mm in width, and 410 mm in depth. The maximum weight, including drives, is 22.65 kg for the SAS controller enclosure and 20 kg for the SAS SSD enclosure. The controller enclosure power supply operates at 200 V to 240 V AC (±10%) and 192 V to 288 V DC. The disk enclosure power supply supports 100 V to 240 V AC (±10%) and 192 V to 288 V DC. The permissible operating humidity ranges from 10% RH to 90% RH.

Controller Expandability

Upon delivery, the system is equipped with two controllers and 64 GB cache in a dual-controller configuration. The maximum number of controllers is eight, and the cache can be expanded from 64 GB to up to 256 GB with controller expansion. This scalability allows the storage system to adapt to growing performance demands without replacing the existing enclosure base.
