Performance and battery life

The Huawei WATCH GT6 features a high-performance silicon battery with 37% higher energy density than the previous generation. This improvement enables up to 14 days of battery life with moderate use, up to 7 days with typical use, and up to 5 days with the always-on display (AOD) active. In outdoor sports mode, the watch provides up to 40 hours of continuous operation.

Display and design

The 1.47" AMOLED display offers a peak brightness of 3,000 nits (measured at 30% APL), representing a 1.5x increase over the previous model. The screen-to-body ratio has been expanded by 5.5%, increasing the usable display area. The 41 mm case is made of stainless steel and paired with a lilac fluoroelastomer strap. The touchscreen has a resolution of 466 x 466 pixels.

Health and wellness features

The PPG pulse-wave analysis sensor enables all-day heart rate variability (HRV) monitoring, as well as continuous tracking of heart rate and blood oxygen saturation (SpO₂). Sleep tracking records sleep stages, rest duration, wake-up time, respiratory rate, heart rate, and oxygen saturation. Stress monitoring detects tension levels and suggests relaxation exercises. Emotional well-being is visualised through 12 mood states represented as floral shapes.

For women’s health, the watch offers cycle tracking, ovulation prediction, and fertile window estimates based on body temperature, HRV, and respiratory rate. The altitude adaptation feature issues automatic alerts when the user is in high-altitude regions above 2,500 metres.

Sports and navigation

The Dual-Band GNSS positioning system, with its optimised antenna architecture, improves location accuracy by 20%. The watch supports over 100 sports modes, including cycling and running. Cycling-specific features include virtual cycling power, real-time cadence, and FTP measurement with a power meter. Voice navigation is available for cycling, and the watch supports standalone music playback.

Connectivity and safety

The Huawei WATCH GT6 is compatible with iOS and Android and allows you to make and receive Bluetooth calls. It includes remote smartphone camera control and voice memo recording. For safety, fall detection triggers an automatic emergency SOS, while the manual SOS function is activated by pressing the crown five times to initiate a call and send your location. Standalone music playback is supported for workouts without your phone.
