WAN Connectivity & Load Balancing

The covered device supports PPPoE, static IP, and DHCP on the WAN interface, including link monitoring and bandwidth control. Dynamic DNS services are supported, and the WAN port can be converted into a LAN port for flexible deployment scenarios. The load balancing algorithms include Weighted Balance, Priority, Overflow, Persistence, Least Used, Lowest Latency, Enforced, and Fastest Response Time, enabling intelligent distribution of traffic across multiple connections.

Security & VPN

A stateful firewall, DoS protection, and web filtering secure the network. The router offers a complete VPN solution with SpeedFusion site-to-site VPN, 256-bit AES encryption, pre-shared key authentication, dynamic routing, and X.509 certificate support. In addition, IPsec network-to-network tunnels and remote user access via PPTP, L2TP, and OpenVPN are available.

Advanced QoS & Edge Computing

Quality-of-service features enable individual bandwidth limiting and application prioritization for SIP, HTTPS, VPN, and custom applications. The device supports edge computing through applications and Docker from hardware revision 3 onward, enabling local data processing and reduced cloud dependency.

Management & Positioning

An integrated GPS receiver provides location data and tracking information for the device when used with InControl 2, supporting fleet management processes. The integrated AP controller automatically detects and manages Peplink AP series access points, including centralized firmware management, profile configuration, and Wi-Fi usage statistics.
