Powerful SD-WAN Features
The FusionHub 500 leverages Peplink’s proven SpeedFusion technology to combine multiple WAN connections from different providers and technologies into a single, highly available logical link. Through intelligent bonding and seamless failover, packet loss and latency spikes are balanced out, ensuring even demanding real-time applications such as VoIP, video conferencing, and ERP systems run without interruption. The appliance also functions as a VPN concentrator, enabling secure site-to-site connections via SpeedFusion, IPsec, or GRE tunnels.
Flexible Deployment Options
As a virtual appliance, the FusionHub 500 can be installed on a wide range of virtualization platforms. It supports VMware ESXi, VMware Workstation, VMware Player, Oracle VirtualBox, Citrix XenServer, and Microsoft Hyper-V. Additionally, it can operate in leading public cloud environments, including Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform, and Vultr. This flexibility allows SD-WAN functionality to be deployed exactly where it’s needed — in your own data center, in the cloud, or in hybrid scenarios.
Comprehensive Security and Access Control
The integrated stateful firewall protects the network from unauthorized access through granular access rules and content blocking. Secure remote access is provided via L2TP over IPsec, PPTP, and OpenVPN, with authentication optionally handled through local user databases or a RADIUS server. An integrated certificate manager simplifies the management of digital certificates for VPN and web services. Dynamic routing protocols such as OSPF, RIPv2, and BGP ensure smooth integration into existing network infrastructures.
Easy Management and Monitoring
The web-based administration interface guides users quickly through initial setup using a setup wizard. For ongoing operations, extensive monitoring features are available: SNMP, event logs, email notifications, and an integrated WAN analyzer. Optional integration with Peplink InControl2 enables centralized management of multiple FusionHub instances, as well as automated provisioning of configurations and firmware updates. Feature add-ons and a flexible licensing model allow the functionality to be expanded according to demand.
