Performance & Coverage
The Mobility 42G supports LTE bands B1 through B86 (except B31, B72, B73, B87, and B88) and 5G bands n1 through n99. Cellular peak gain measures 4.4 dBi at 617–960 MHz, 7.8 dBi at 1710–2700 MHz, 7.9 dBi at 3400–4200 MHz, and 8.2 dBi at 5000–6000 MHz. C-Band support at 3.3 and 4.2 GHz provides additional throughput capability for high-speed cellular deployments.
The Wi-Fi antennas deliver peak gain of 5.0 dBi at 2400–2500 MHz and 7.5 dBi at 5000–6000 MHz using 2x2 MIMO dual-band architecture. The GPS receiver achieves peak gain of 0.5 dBi at 1575 MHz and 1.6 dBi at 1602 MHz, with an LNA gain of 28 ±3 dB and a noise figure of 1.5 dB max at 3.3V. Feed power handling is rated at 10W with an input impedance of 50 Ω and linear polarisation. No ground plane is required for operation.
Design & Durability
The housing carries an IP68 rating and uses a UV-stable PC radome with UV-stable plastic enclosure material. It operates across a temperature range of -40° to 80°C and withstands wind conditions rated at 137 mph / 220 km/h and 167 mph / 268 km/h. The product is available in black or white color options.
Compliance includes RoHS, REACH, and WHEE. Enclosure flammability is rated UL 94 HB, cable flammability meets UL 758 (VW-1), UV resistance is certified to UL 746C for long-term UV exposure, and salt spray resistance is validated per MIL-STD 810F/ASTM B117. A 1-year warranty is included.
Installation & Mounting
The Mobility 42G supports panel, wall, or pole mounting with a mounting hole diameter of 1 11/16" / 43 mm and a maximum panel thickness of 19/32" / 15 mm. The product measures 2.28" / 58 mm in height (spigot not included) and 8.19" / 208 mm in diameter. Packaged dimensions are 9.09" x 8.50" x 6.14" (231 x 216 x 156 mm).
This model ships with a cable length of 1 ft / 0.3 meters. Radio frequency cable length options include 6.5 feet (2 meters) and 1 foot (0.3 meters), with an extension cable length of 15 feet (4.5 meters) available. A double-sided 3M adhesive pad with a diameter of 8.19" / 208 mm and thickness of 0.08" / 2 mm is listed as an accessory.
Cable Specifications
Cellular and Wi-Fi connections use CFD-200 cable with a diameter of 0.2" / 5.0 mm and a half-matt PVC, UV-resistant jacket. Cable loss measures 0.33 dB/m at 900 MHz, 0.49 dB/m at 2000 MHz, 0.55 dB/m at 2500 MHz, and 0.87 dB/m at 5800 MHz. Cellular terminations are available in QMA male or SMA male, while Wi-Fi terminations are available in QMA male or RP-SMA male.
The GPS connection uses RG-174 cable with a diameter of 0.1" / 2.7 mm and the same half-matt PVC, UV-resistant jacket. GPS cable loss measures 3.4 dB/m at 1000 MHz and 4.9 dB/m at 1800 MHz. GPS terminations are available in QMA male or SMA male. Output return loss is rated at 10 dB max.
