License Scope & Activation
This license entitles you to permanently activate a disabled WAN port on your MAX HD4 or MAX HD4 IP67. After redeeming the license key via the Peplink InControl management system or the local web interface, the port is immediately available for connecting an additional modem, wired line, or other WAN medium. The license is device-bound and non-transferable.
Compatibility & Requirements
The license is exclusively for the Peplink router models MAX HD4 and MAX HD4 IP67. It requires current firmware and a free but factory-disabled WAN port. Activation requires an existing internet connection on the router for license validation. Technical specifications for operating the additional WAN port follow those of the respective router model.
Use Cases for Maximum Connectivity
The license is especially suitable for businesses with high availability requirements. Typical applications include connecting a secondary cellular modem as a failover link, attaching a second wired WAN connection for load distribution, or securing remote sites with the rugged MAX HD4 IP67. In combination with Peplink SD-WAN, it creates an adaptive multi-WAN architecture that automatically compensates for individual line failures.
