Product Overview

The OMNI-703 is a medium-gain Wi-Fi antenna covering the 2.4 GHz band from 2400 to 2500 MHz. Designed as a SISO antenna with a single port, it complies with the Wi-Fi 3 (802.11g) standard. Suitable for indoor and outdoor use, the antenna is ideal for IoT and M2M systems as well as commercial and industrial networks.

The antenna base features an N-Type female connector for attaching a cable of the desired type and length. A coaxial cable is not included. The antenna is vertically polarized and has a nominal input impedance of 50 ohms.

Features and Performance

Across the 2400 to 2500 MHz frequency range, the antenna achieves a maximum gain of 4 dBi. The VSWR remains below 1.5:1 over 95% of the band. It supports a power input of up to 10 W and includes a DC short circuit. These electrical characteristics ensure stable Wi-Fi connections in the 2.4 GHz band for M2M and IoT communications.

Environmental and Protection Ratings

The housing is made of UV-stable ASA and is grey (Pantone 429C). The IP69K rating protects the interior from high-pressure water and dust, while its impact resistance is rated IK 10. The housing’s flammability classification is UL 94-HB. The antenna withstands wind speeds of up to 190 km/h and is tested against salt spray corrosion per MIL-STD 810G and ASTM B117.

The operating temperature range spans from -40 °C to +80 °C, with relative humidity up to 98%. Storage conditions are -40 °C to +80 °C and 5% to 95% humidity (non-condensing). The antenna complies with CE and RoHS Directive 2011/65/EU and is manufactured under ISO 9001:2015.

The antenna is designed for IoT and M2M applications as well as commercial and industrial antenna deployments. Typical use cases include smart metering for electricity, gas, and water; building automation for HVAC, access, and security control; environmental and water systems; warehouse and logistics systems; industrial factory automation; and agricultural M2M-IoT systems.

Mounting and Dimensions

The antenna can be mounted on a wall or mast using a bracket or attached to a surface with an adhesive pad. The product measures 306 mm in height with a diameter of 70 mm. The packaged weight is 0.56 kg, with packaging dimensions of 386 × 80 × 96 mm.
