Performance & Signal Characteristics

The antenna operates across the GPS L1 band at 1575.42 MHz and the GLONASS band at 1600 MHz, providing a peak gain of 21 dBi with a tolerance of ±2 dBi. Its low-noise amplifier maintains a noise figure of ≤1.5 dB, and the voltage standing wave ratio is rated at ≤1.5:1 across the operating bands. The active circuitry draws 5 to 15 mA at a DC supply voltage of 2.7 to 3.3 V, with a nominal impedance of 50 Ω and right-hand circular polarisation (RHCP).

Out-of-band rejection is specified at a minimum of 12 dB at f0 +50 MHz and a minimum of 16 dB at f0 -50 MHz, helping suppress adjacent-band interference in dense RF environments. The antenna handles up to 50 W of maximum input power.

Design & Environmental Durability

The radome is moulded from halogen-free PC+ABS in Pantone Black and measures Ø99.3 mm by 36 mm, weighing 0.312 kg. Its enclosure carries an IP68 rating for water and dust ingress and an IK10 impact-resistance rating, making it vandal resistant and suitable for harsh outdoor or indoor deployment. The housing is UV-stable and fire-resistant, certified to ECE-R118.02 with an enclosure flammability rating of UL 94-HB.

Environmental performance extends across a broad operating temperature range of -40°C to +80°C and relative humidity up to 98%. The antenna survives wind speeds up to 220 km/h and has been tested for salt-spray resistance to MIL-STD 810F and ASTM B117. Storage conditions span the same -40°C to +80°C temperature range at 5% to 95% non-condensing humidity.

Mounting & Installation

Implementation is kept simple through multiple mounting options supplied as standard: spigot mount, magnetic mount, adhesive tape mount, and bracket mount. This versatility allows the antenna to be fitted to vehicle roofs, machinery, marine vessels, or fixed structures without specialised brackets. A 2-metre RTK-031 coaxial cable terminates in an SMA Male connector, providing a direct interface to common GPS receivers and timing modules.
