Product Overview
The Poynting LPDA-92 is a log-periodic dipole array antenna that covers all international cellular mobile and wireless data bands, including GSM 900, GSM 1800, UMTS, and LTE. It also supports extended cellular and WiMAX bands, such as European and American digital dividend bands, as well as licensed and unlicensed 2.3 to 2.7 GHz data bands. This antenna stands out for combining ultra-wideband operation with consistently high gain.
Compatible with 2G, 3G, and 4G technologies, the antenna is also 5G-ready, as it covers the CBRS range from 3.2 to 3.8 GHz. It is ideal for applications utilizing GSM networks, including LTE, HSPA, 3G, EDGE, and GPRS. The wideband design means no separate antenna is required for each network operator.
Performance & Gain
The antenna achieves a maximum gain of 10.8 dBi in the 698 to 960 MHz range, 11 dBi in the 1710 to 2700 MHz range, and 2.3 dBi in the 3400 to 3800 MHz range. The VSWR remains below 1.5:1 across 95% of the bands, ensuring efficient matching to the connected system. The maximum input power is 10 W with a nominal input impedance of 50 ohms.
The directional pattern with linear polarization and a main beam width of approximately 50° simplifies alignment toward the desired base station. The cable has an attenuation of 0.385 dB/m at 900 MHz, 0.565 dB/m at 1800 MHz, 0.666 dB/m at 2400 MHz, and 0.788 dB/m at 3000 MHz.
Applications
The antenna is particularly well-suited for rural areas with weak data signal reception, where its high gain significantly improves connection quality. It is ideal for applications with slow data transmission, unstable connections, and in LTE fringe areas located near but outside the reach of LTE coverage zones. Both urban and rural deployment sites are supported.

Design & Mounting
The housing is made of black Nylon 6, while the frame is constructed from passivated ADC12 aluminum in aluminum gray. With dimensions of 1112 × 200 × 47 mm and a weight of 1.63 kg, the antenna is compact and lightweight. Installation is via pole-mount mast mounting. A DC short circuit is included.
The attached HDF 195 coaxial cable is 7 m long and terminates in an SMA (male) connector. Packaging dimensions are 1120 × 210 × 60 mm with a shipping weight of 2.02 kg.
Environmental & Protection Ratings
The antenna is IP65-rated for protection against water and dust ingress and is approved for indoor and outdoor use. It is salt spray resistant according to MIL-STD 810F/ASTM B117 and can operate in relative humidity levels of up to 98%.
