The OMNI-298 is a high-performance dual-band Wi-Fi antenna specifically developed for fixed wireless access applications. It operates across the 2400 to 2500 MHz, 3300 to 4200 MHz, and 4900 to 7200 MHz frequency bands, ensuring compatibility with established Wi-Fi technologies as well as future advancements, including Wi-Fi 7. The antenna supports IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax standards and additionally covers the 3.5 GHz CBRS band used for private 5G applications.

The design eliminates horizontal radiating elements, simplifying installation and ensuring efficient coverage. With a maximum gain of 10 dBi in the 4900 to 7200 MHz range, the antenna is ideal for Wi-Fi access points in residential, commercial, and industrial settings, as well as agricultural and rural environments.

Performance & Frequency Coverage

The antenna achieves band-dependent gains of 6.5 dBi at 2400 to 2500 MHz, 7.8 dBi at 3300 to 4200 MHz, and 10 dBi at 4900 to 7200 MHz. The VSWR is below 2:1, and the input impedance is 50 ohms. With a maximum input power of 10 W and linear vertical polarization, the OMNI-298 delivers reliable omnidirectional coverage across all supported bands.

The 2x2 MIMO technology with two ports enhances transmission performance in FWA scenarios. The antenna supports 5G bands n48, n77, and n78, as well as CBRS technology, making it versatile for both Wi-Fi and private 5G connectivity.

Durability & Environmental Protection

The UV-stable ASA radome in brilliant white protects the antenna under demanding environmental conditions. With IP 65 protection, the housing is safeguarded against dust and water jets. The antenna has been tested for salt spray resistance according to MIL-STD 810G/ASTM B117 and achieves IK 08 impact resistance. The wind survival rating is up to 190 km/h.

The permissible operating temperature range spans from -40 °C to +80 °C, with relative humidity up to 98% during operation. The housing meets UL 94-HB flammability standards. These features make the OMNI-298 suitable for continuous outdoor and indoor use.

Mounting & Connection

The antenna is supplied with wall and mast mounting brackets, allowing installation on vertical surfaces or masts. It connects via two 2 m twin HDF 195 coaxial cables with SMA (M) connectors. A DC short circuit is present, which must be considered for power supply and lightning protection. The antenna measures 646 mm in length with a diameter of 71 mm and weighs 0.58 kg.
