Connectivity and Frequency Coverage

The antenna covers the entire cellular frequency range from 1700 to 7200 MHz, supporting LTE/4G bands from B1 to B255 and 5G bands from n1 to n256. This allows a wide range of mobile communication standards to be consolidated into a single antenna, eliminating the need for multiple models. In addition to cellular coverage, the antenna supports Wi-Fi standards 802.11g, 802.11n, 802.11ac, 802.11ax, and Wi-Fi 6E, enabling both mobile and WLAN networks to be served via the same antenna.

The frequency bands are divided into the ranges 1700 to 1900 MHz, 1900 to 2200 MHz, 2300 to 2400 MHz, 2400 to 2500 MHz, 2500 to 2700 MHz, 3400 to 3800 MHz, 5000 to 6000 MHz, and 6000 to 7200 MHz. This continuous coverage enables deployment across various network operator and technology configurations.

Antenna Characteristics and Performance

The antenna achieves a gain of 9.5 dBic, measured without cable loss, and operates as a SISO system with one LTE port. The circular polarization helps reduce signal loss due to reflections from metallic surfaces, machinery, and tunnel curvature. As a unidirectional antenna, it radiates in a targeted direction, making it suitable for focused illumination of tunnel sections and drifts.

The antenna output features an N-type connector (male) with a 0.6 m RG-58 coaxial cable attached. The combination of connector type and cable length determines integration into the existing cabling of tunnel or mining infrastructure.

Application and Mounting

The antenna is designed for use in mining and tunnel environments where IoT and M2M communication is required. Typical applications include underground telemetry, mining automation, and supplementing fiber or cable networks with wireless hotspots in hard-to-reach areas. The ceiling mount allows for placement tailored to the structural conditions of tunnels.

Accessories include the separately available brackets BRKT-45 and BRKT-47. The antenna is finished in gray and meets the IP65 protection rating, safeguarding it against dust ingress and water jets.

Compliance and Environmental Protection

The antenna complies with the RoHS 3 directive, confirming that the product contains no intentionally added heavy metals such as lead, mercury, hexavalent chromium, or cadmium, nor the corresponding phthalates above the maximum concentration values.
