Performance & Frequency Coverage

The PUCK-1 is a SISO antenna covering the frequency range from 617 to 4200 MHz, encompassing the most common international LTE bands. It supports 2G, 3G, 4G, LTE, and 5G standards, making it ready for both current and future mobile applications. The frequency range includes sub-bands 617–960 MHz, 1427–1517 MHz, 1710–2700 MHz, and 3400–4200 MHz, with the latter covering the 3.2 to 3.8 GHz CBRS band. Despite its small size, the antenna delivers excellent performance, particularly at higher frequencies, where it is critical for LTE throughput and connection stability. The radiation patterns of all radiating elements ensure a balanced trade-off between omnidirectional behavior, pattern diversity, and strong radiation characteristics at the desired elevation.

Design & Durability

The carefully engineered housing provides protection against corrosion, water, and dust to IP69K standards. The antenna is fire-resistant to UL 94-HB and features a UV-stable housing. It withstands wind speeds up to 220 km/h and operates in ambient temperatures from -40°C to +80°C. Salt spray resistance is certified to MIL-STD 810F/ASTM B117, and impact resistance meets IK 10. The radome is made of halogen-free PC+ABS and measures 100 mm in diameter with a height of 36 mm.

Mounting & Installation

The PUCK-1 offers multiple mounting options for easy installation in various environments: threaded stud mounting, magnetic base mounting, adhesive tape mounting, and bracket mounting. A 2-meter RTK-031 cable with an SMA male connector is permanently attached. The antenna performs consistently with or without a ground plane, further enhancing installation flexibility.

Applications

The antenna is designed for markets such as IoT/M2M, smart meters, smart utilities, transportation, maritime, and agriculture. Specific applications include smart electricity, gas, and water metering; building automation with climate and access control; industrial factory automation and robotics; digital signage; and warehouse and logistics systems. In transportation, it is suitable for buses, commercial vehicles, and mining machinery. In the maritime sector, it is used on small boats and yachts in coastal or inland waters.
