Performance & Frequency Coverage

The PUCK-7 antenna system combines two cellular MIMO antennas for 2G/3G/4G/LTE/5G with two separate dual-band Wi-Fi antennas in a single housing. The cellular antennas cover the range from 617 to 4200 MHz, encompassing the most common international LTE bands, including the 3.5 GHz CBRS band. The Wi-Fi antennas support the 802.11n and 802.11ac/ax standards with 2x2 MIMO, providing both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands. The LTE gain is 6 dBi, while the Wi-Fi gain is 7.5 dBi.

The radiation patterns of all radiating elements deliver a balanced trade-off between omnidirectional coverage, pattern diversity, and strong performance at the desired elevation. Despite its compact size, the antenna achieves excellent performance, particularly in the higher frequency bands, which is critical for LTE throughput and connection stability. Both LTE ports should be connected to the router or device to ensure optimal performance.

Design & Environmental Resistance

The PUCK-7 housing is rated IP69K for protection against water and dust ingress and is flame-resistant. The UV-stable housing ensures long-term outdoor durability. The antenna performs consistently with or without a base plate.

The operating temperature range spans from -40 °C to +80 °C, with the storage temperature covering the same range. Wind survival is rated at ≤220 km/h. The antenna withstands salt spray testing per MIL-STD 810F/ASTM B117 and operates in relative humidity up to 98%. Storage humidity ranges from 5% to 95% non-condensing. The housing’s flammability rating complies with UL 94.

Mounting & Installation

The PUCK-7 offers multiple standard mounting options for easy installation across various use cases, including stud, magnetic, adhesive tape, and bracket mounting. The connectors feature SMA (M) and RPSMA adapters, ensuring compatibility with common router and device interfaces.

Applications

The PUCK-7 is designed for use in IoT/M2M, smart metering, smart utilities, transport, marine, and agriculture markets. In transport, it is suitable for buses, commercial vehicles, and public safety applications. In marine environments, it covers small boats and yachts in coastal or inland waters. Additional applications include smart electricity, gas, and water metering, building automation for HVAC, access control, and security systems, digital signage, warehouse and logistics systems, as well as industrial factory automation and mining vehicles.
