Performance and Frequency Coverage

The PUCK-2 combines two LTE antenna elements in a single housing and supports 2x2 MIMO across the entire range from 617 to 4200 MHz. Gain values are 0 dBi at 617–960 MHz, 1 dBi at 1427–1517 MHz, 5 dBi at 1710–2700 MHz, and 6 dBi at 3400–4200 MHz, with a peak gain of 6 dBi. The radiation patterns of all radiating elements provide a balanced trade-off between omnidirectional behavior, pattern diversity, and strong radiation characteristics at the desired elevation. Despite its compact size, the antenna delivers performance critical for LTE throughput and connection stability, particularly at higher frequencies.

VSWR values are ≤2.5:1 across 90% of the bands, and the input impedance is 50 ohms. Both LTE ports are designed for connection to routers or end devices to achieve optimal MIMO performance. The antenna operates with linear vertical polarization and can handle input power of up to 10 W.

Applications and Use Cases

The PUCK-2 targets IoT/M2M, smart metering, smart utilities, transportation, marine, agriculture, and farming markets. Typical applications include smart electricity, gas, and water metering; building automation with climate, access, and security control; digital signage; warehouse and logistics systems; and industrial factory automation and robotics. In the transportation sector, the antenna is suitable for buses, commercial vehicles, and public safety, while in mining, it supports communication and telemetry systems on vehicles and machinery.

At sea, the antenna is used on small boats and yachts in coastal or inland waters. The omnidirectional pattern ensures consistent 360° coverage, regardless of the vehicle’s or installation’s orientation.

Housing and Environmental Specifications

The radome is made of PC+ABS (halogen-free) with UV-stable ASA material and is finished in black. The careful mechanical design ensures resistance to vandalism, corrosion, water, and dust (IP69K). The antenna is fire-resistant according to UL 94-HB and withstands salt spray testing per MIL-STD 810G/ASTM B117. Impact resistance meets IK10, and the wind survival rate is up to 220 km/h.

The permissible operating temperature range is from -40 °C to +80 °C, with the same range for storage. Relative humidity during operation can reach up to 98%, while storage humidity ranges from 5% to 95% non-condensing. The antenna is approved for outdoor and indoor use and features a DC short.

Cable and Connection

The PUCK-2 comes with a 2 m long RTK-031 coaxial cable terminated with an SMA male connector. Cable attenuation is 0.56 dB/m at 900 MHz, 0.71 dB/m at 1500 MHz, 0.785 dB/m at 1800 MHz, 0.91 dB/m at 2400 MHz, and 1.2 dB/m at 3000 MHz. These values allow for a realistic estimation of actual gain at the router or device input after accounting for cable length.

Certifications and Compliance

The antenna complies with the RoHS Directive 2011/65/EU and is manufactured under ISO 9001:2015. CE compliance is confirmed, and the EU homologation number is E1*10R06/01*9551*00. The warranty period is 24 months.
