Frequency Range & Performance

The Poynting PUCK-1 is a multi-frequency LTE antenna covering three frequency bands: 698 to 960 MHz, 1710 to 2700 MHz, and 3200 to 3800 MHz. In the 1710 to 2700 MHz range, it achieves a maximum gain of 6 dBi, and in the 3200 to 3800 MHz range, it also reaches 6 dBi. In the lowest band of 698 to 960 MHz, the gain is -1 dBi. The antenna handles an input power of 10 W and has an input impedance of 50 ohms. The polarization is linear vertical, and the voltage standing wave ratio (VSWR) is ≤2.5:1 over 85% of the band.

Design & Mounting

The antenna’s radome is made of PC+ABS (halogen-free) and is white in color. With dimensions of Ø99.3 mm x 36 mm and a weight of 0.312 kg, the antenna is designed for space-efficient installation. Mounting options include a Ø20 threaded stud, mast, wall, surface, or magnetic mounting. A DC short circuit is included. The antenna features one connector port and comes with a 2 m RTK-031 coaxial cable terminated with an SMA (M) connector. Cable losses are 0.56 dB/m at 900 MHz, 0.72 dB/m at 1800 MHz, 0.88 dB/m at 2400 MHz, and 1.2 dB/m at 3000 MHz.

Environmental Conditions & Protection

The antenna is designed for both outdoor and indoor use and is IP68 waterproof. It withstands wind speeds of up to 220 km/h and is tested for salt spray resistance according to MIL-STD-810F/ASTM B117. Impact resistance meets IK 10, and the housing is rated UL 94-HB for fire resistance. The operating temperature range is -40°C to +80°C, and the storage temperature range is also -40°C to +80°C. Relative humidity during operation can reach up to 98%, while storage humidity ranges from 5% to 95% (non-condensing).
