Description

Advantages at a glance

  • Wideband coverage: spans 450–2170 MHz, including the 450–470 MHz band
  • 2x2 MIMO: two antennas in one enclosure for optimal LTE performance
  • Backwards compatible: works with 3G and 2G technologies alongside LTE
  • Weather- and vandal-resistant: IP 65 (NEMA 4X) enclosure rated for outdoor use
  • Flexible mounting: wall- or pole-mountable with a lightweight 1.98 kg housing
  • Pre-terminated cable: 5 m Twin HDF 195 coax with SMA male connectors

Performance & Throughput

The XPOL-16 delivers a peak gain of 8 dBi across the 790–860 MHz and 1710–2170 MHz bands, and 6.5 dBi in the 450–470 MHz band. Its dual-polarised design uses +45° and -45° polarisation to provide client-side MIMO and diversity support, which increases signal reliability and ensures higher data throughput for users. The antenna maintains a VSWR of less than 2.5:1 and handles up to 10 W of feed power at a nominal 50 Ohm input impedance.

Design & Construction

The enclosure measures 360 mm × 360 mm × 151 mm and weighs 1.98 kg, making it lightweight for its class. The radome is moulded from halogen-free ABS with a flammability rating of UL 94-HB and an impact resistance of IK 08. A 5 m length of Twin HDF 195 coax cable exits the housing terminated with SMA male connectors, ready for direct connection to LTE modems and routers. The radome colour is specified as Pantone Cool Gray (1C) / RAL 7047.

Environmental & Compliance

The antenna is rated IP 65 (NEMA 4X) for water ingress protection and is qualified for both outdoor and indoor environmental conditions. It survives wind speeds up to 120 km/h and operates across a temperature range of -40°C to +70°C with relative humidity up to 98%. Salt spray resistance is validated to MIL-STD 810F / ASTM B117. The product carries CE marking, RoHS 2011/65/EU compliance, and ISO 9001:2015 certification, and is backed by a 24-month warranty.

Deployment & Use Cases

The XPOL-16 is engineered for machine-to-machine and IoT applications, as well as urban and rural cellular installations where signal reception is poor or data transmission is slow. It is suited to LTE fringe areas where a base station is nearby but just out of reach, and to scenarios where connection stability must be improved. The antenna supports a broad set of LTE and 5G frequency bands, giving network operators flexibility in deployment.
