Connectivity & Cellular Bands

The tracker is built around the Quectel BG95-M3 and Teltonika TM2500 modules and supports LTE Cat M1, LTE Cat NB2, EGPRS, and Bluetooth Low Energy. LTE Cat M1 operates on LTE-FDD bands B1, B2, B3, B4, B5, B8, B12, B13, B18, B19, B20, B25, B26, B27, B28, B66, and B85, while 2G EGPRS fallback covers bands B2, B3, B5, and B8. GPRS data transfer reaches a maximum of 107 Kbps on the downlink and 85.6 Kbps on the uplink, and the device supports SMS for text and data communication.

OBDII Data Reading & Vehicle Parameters

Through the OBDII socket the device reads OEM fuel level, odometer, and up to 32 vehicle onboard parameters from the ECU. It supports a wide range of OBD protocols, including ISO 9141-2, ISO 14230-4 KWP with both 5-baud and fast init, ISO 15765-4 CAN in 11-bit and 29-bit ID variants at 250 and 500 kbaud, ISO 14229 (UDS), and J2819 (VW TP2.0). The OBD interface covers HS CAN, MS CAN, SW CAN, and K-line, giving the tracker broad access to standard vehicle bus data for fuel monitoring and ignition detection.

GNSS Positioning & Accuracy

Positioning is handled by a 33-channel receiver with internal high-gain GNSS and GSM antennas, supporting GPS, GLONASS, GALILEO, BEIDOU, SBAS, QZSS, DGPS, and AGPS. Tracking sensitivity reaches -165 dBm, and positional accuracy is stated as under 3 metres. Hot start acquires a fix in under 1 second, warm start in under 25 seconds, and cold start in under 35 seconds. Time synchronization is available through GNSS, NITZ, and NTP.

Scenarios & Driver Behaviour

The integrated accelerometer drives a set of telematics scenarios including Green Driving, over-speeding detection, jamming detection, GNSS fuel counter, excessive idling detection, unplug detection, towing detection, and crash detection. Geofencing is supported in both automatic and manual modes, and a Trip scenario records journey data. Ignition detection can be determined through the accelerometer, external power voltage, or engine RPM, giving the tracker multiple independent sources for ignition state.

Bluetooth Peripherals & Configuration

Bluetooth Low Energy 4.0 support extends to a temperature and humidity sensor, an OBDII dongle, an Inateck barcode scanner, and universal Bluetooth LE sensors. Configuration and firmware updates can be performed through FOTA Web, FOTA, the Teltonika Configurator over USB or Bluetooth, and the FMBT mobile application. SMS and GPRS commands are available for configuration, events, and debug, and the device offers four sleep modes: GPS Sleep, Online Deep Sleep, Deep Sleep, and Ultra Deep Sleep.

Power, Battery & Environmental

The tracker accepts an input voltage of 10 to 30 V DC with overvoltage protection and an internal 3 A, 125 V fuse. Power consumption ranges from under 3 mA in Ultra Deep Sleep at 12 V to under 33 mA nominal with no load, with a peak of under 2 A at full load. A 170 mAh Li-Ion internal backup battery at 3.7 V provides reserve power, and the device carries an IP41 ingress protection rating. Operating temperature without battery spans -40 °C to +85 °C, and operating humidity ranges from 5% to 95% non-condensing.
