Cellular Connectivity

The FMC001 supports LTE CAT1 on FDD bands B1/B3/B7/B8/B20/B28, 3G UMTS/HSPA on WCDMA B1/B8, and 2G GSM/GPRS on B3/B8. LTE data rates reach a maximum of 10 Mbps downlink and 5 Mbps uplink. In UMTS, the maximum data rate is 384 Kbps in both directions, while GSM supports up to 107 Kbps downlink and 85.6 Kbps uplink. The device handles SMS in text and data modes.

GNSS Positioning

The tracker uses GPS, GLONASS, GALILEO, BEIDOU, QZSS, and AGPS constellations with a high-gain internal GNSS antenna. It tracks 33 channels with a sensitivity of -165 dBm and achieves positioning accuracy of less than 3 meters. Hot start takes less than 1 second, warm start less than 25 seconds, and cold start less than 35 seconds.

OBD Interface and Vehicle Data

Connected via the OBDII port, the FMC001 reads K-Line and CAN bus data from the vehicle’s ECU, supporting up to 32 onboard parameters. It is compatible with nine OBD protocols: SAE J1850 PWM (41.6 kbaud), SAE J1850 VPW (10.4 kbaud), ISO 9141-2 (5 baud init, 10.4 kbaud), ISO 14230-4 KWP (5 baud init and fast init, 10.4 kbaud), and ISO 15765-4 CAN in 11-bit and 29-bit ID at 250 and 500 kbaud. Fuel monitoring via OBDII depends on the vehicle model. Ignition detection relies on the accelerometer, external supply voltage, and engine RPM.

Bluetooth and Peripherals

The Bluetooth 4.0 + LE module enables connections to external devices and low-power sensors. Supported peripherals include a temperature and humidity sensor, the Inateck barcode scanner, and universal BLE sensor compatibility. Firmware updates and configuration can be performed via Bluetooth.

Power and Design

The FMC001 operates on a 10–30 V DC input range with overvoltage protection. It includes a built-in 170 mAh Li-Ion backup battery (3.7 V, 0.63 Wh). Its dimensions are 67.2 x 49.6 x 25 mm, and it weighs 63 g. The device has an IP41 rating. Operating temperature without the battery ranges from -40 °C to +85 °C, and humidity tolerance spans 5% to 95% non-condensing. The internal GSM cellular antenna is also high-gain.

Configuration and Management

Configuration and firmware updates are available via FOTA Web, FOTA, Teltonika Configurator (USB or Bluetooth), and the FMBT mobile app. SMS commands cover configuration, events, and debugging, while GPRS commands handle configuration and debugging. Time synchronization is supported via GNSS, NITZ, or NTP. Four sleep modes—GPS Sleep, Online Deep Sleep, Deep Sleep, and Ultra Deep Sleep—optimize power consumption. The device features 128 MB of internal flash memory, a USB 2.0 Micro-USB port, two status LEDs, and a Micro-SIM slot.
