Connectivity and Network Coverage

The FMC130 uses LTE Cat 1 technology with automatic fallback to 3G (UMTS/HSPA) and 2G networks (GSM/GPRS), ensuring a reliable data connection across diverse network infrastructures. Depending on the module installed, the tracker supports different frequency bands: the Quectel EC21-AU module covers GSM B2/B3/B5/B8, WCDMA B1/B2/B5/B8, and LTE FDD B1/B2/B3/B4/B5/B7/B8/B28 as well as LTE TDD B40. The Quectel EC21-EC module supports GSM B3/B8, WCDMA B1/B8, and LTE FDD B1/B3/B7/B8/B20/B28A. Maximum data rates are 10 Mbps downlink and 5 Mbps uplink in LTE FDD mode, and 8.96 Mbps downlink and 3.1 Mbps uplink in LTE TDD mode. In addition to data transmission, the device supports SMS in text and data formats. Available SIM formats include micro-SIM and eSIM.

GNSS Positioning

Positioning is handled by an integrated high-gain GNSS module supporting the GPS, GLONASS, GALILEO, BEIDOU, and QZSS satellite systems as well as AGPS. With 33 tracking channels, the receiver achieves a tracking sensitivity of -165 dBm and positioning accuracy of under 3 meters. Hot start takes less than one second, warm start less than 25 seconds, and cold start less than 35 seconds. The internal GNSS antenna is permanently integrated into the housing, eliminating the need for external antenna cabling.

Inputs, Outputs, and Peripherals

The FMC130 offers three digital inputs, two analog inputs, and three digital outputs, all configurable for flexible remote monitoring and control tasks. A negative input on Digital Input 2 simplifies the installation of accessories such as door sensors, alarm buttons, or seatbelt detection sensors. Two of the digital inputs (Digital Input 1 and Digital Input 2) also support pulse inputs, ideal for precise fuel flow meter readings. A CAN adapter input and a 1-Wire port allow connection to vehicle data and external sensors. The Bluetooth 4.0 + LE interface supports peripherals such as temperature and humidity sensors, OBDII dongles, the Inateck barcode scanner, and universal BLE sensors.

Power Supply and Protection

The tracker operates on an input voltage of 10 to 30 V DC and features overvoltage protection. An integrated 170 mAh Li-ion backup battery (3.7 V, 0.63 Wh) ensures operation even without an external power source. The operating temperature range without the battery is -40 °C to +85 °C, with the same range for storage. Relative humidity during operation may range from 5 % to 95 % (non-condensing). The housing is rated IP41. An integrated accelerometer enhances the device’s monitoring capabilities.
