Connectivity & Cellular

The TRB236 communicates over the 450 MHz frequency band, which provides extended wireless range compared to higher-frequency cellular bands. This makes the gateway particularly suitable for remote facilities, expansive utility networks, and hard-to-reach infrastructure sites. Dual SIM support with eSIM functionality enhances cellular connection availability and enables network redundancy as well as backup WAN scenarios. Depending on the available cellular infrastructure, versions with LTE Cat 1 and 2G fallback or LTE Cat 4 and 3G are available.

Interfaces & I/O

For integrating industrial devices, the gateway features an Ethernet interface for connecting to IP-based networks. Additionally, it includes one RS232 port and one RS485 port, allowing serial field devices and controllers to be connected to the gateway. Configurable digital inputs and outputs expand connectivity options with direct field-level monitoring and control functions. This enables existing field devices and serial systems to be connected to modern IP networks for continuous monitoring and control tasks.
