Performance & Throughput
The FiberPoE G2 provides Gigabit bi-directional data transport between twisted-pair Ethernet cable and fiber optic cable. By using fiber for the data path, it sustains data integrity in runs far beyond the 100-meter limit of copper Ethernet, while also significantly reducing electromagnetic interference (EMI) and electrostatic discharge (ESD) failures. The device supports a 1G SFP module for the fiber interface, ensuring high-speed connectivity for bandwidth-intensive outdoor applications.
Surge Protection & Reliability
Engineered for outdoor environments, the FiberPoE G2 features a built-in high-current Gas Discharge Tube (GDT) on both the DC terminal block and the PoE port. This enhanced surge protection effectively shields connected equipment from lightning strikes and other transient power surges. Combined with the inherent EMI and ESD immunity of fiber optic data transport, the device delivers a robust, dependable link for critical deployments.
Deployment Flexibility
A single FiberPoE G2 can serve as a Fiber-to-Ethernet Converter, converting a fiber optic data feed to copper Ethernet while injecting DC power for a passive PoE device. Alternatively, deploy a pair of units to create a Fiber Bridge, extending both data and power across a fiber span with no active electronics in between. This flexibility makes it ideal for tower-mounted radios, remote cameras, and other outdoor PoE endpoints.
Installation & Design
The FiberPoE G2 features a durable, weatherproof form factor that withstands outdoor conditions. An integrated fiber cable strain relief system fits neatly inside the cover, protecting connections and ensuring a clean, professional installation. Power can be supplied via a dedicated DC power cable or through a PoE input, simplifying site wiring.
