Radio Performance
The 60 GHz radio utilizes a full 2.16 GHz channel, enabling high data rates with minimal interference. The integrated 5 GHz radio provides additional spectral flexibility, with transmit power up to 25 dBm and receiver sensitivity down to -95 dBm across multiple modulation schemes. Both radios are internally connected, and the system supports point-to-point operation with a future firmware upgrade enabling point-to-multipoint.
Hardware Design & Power
Housed in a UV-resistant polycarbonate enclosure measuring Ø140 x 44 mm and weighing only 376 g, the GBE-EU is built for outdoor durability. It features a Gigabit Ethernet RJ45 interface and is powered via passive PoE (24VDC, 0.5A adapter included), with a maximum power consumption of 11W. The device supports a voltage range of 22–27V DC and provides robust ESD/EMP protection at ±24kV air/contact.
Management & Software
airOS delivers a full suite of configuration and monitoring capabilities. The dashboard provides at-a-glance status, while dedicated pages for wireless, network, and system settings allow granular control. Services include UNMS, SSH, NTP client, syslog, and device discovery. Built-in tools such as the antenna alignment tool, discovery utility, traceroute, and speed test simplify deployment and troubleshooting. Any modern web browser is supported for management access.
Deployment & Environmental Specifications
The GBE-EU operates reliably in temperatures from -40 to 60° C and humidity from 5 to 95% noncondensing. It is certified to FCC, IC, and CE standards, and comes with a 12-month warranty. The device supports point-to-point links out of the box, with point-to-multipoint capability planned via a future firmware upgrade.
